I’m Allison. I’ve been working with birds in one way or another since I was 12 years old. In that time I’ve been fortunate enough to do some really neat stuff, like banding songbirds at at Lake Lotus Park and raptors at The Avian Reconditioning Center, point counts in Barrow, Alaska, training and flying hawks for falconry, counting migrating raptors at the Florida Keys Hawkwatch, and best of all, helping to rehabilitate wild birds at the Ann Young Wild Bird Refuge and The Avian Reconditioning Center. I’ve even been fortunate enough to release a bald eagle!

So in summary – I really really like birds, and would like to share them with you!

Most of the birds here live at The Avian Reconditioning Center in Orlando, Florida, where I work as a falconer, educator, and rehabilitator.

The birds have been featured on Photojojo, Notcot.org, and the Instagram Blog.

If you have a wildlife emergency, please google for a rehabilitator in your area.
